Throughout the firm’s history, RBS Design Group has established a reputation as a design-oriented and award-winning designer of education, religious, and commercial facilities. We are Owensboro's largest locally owned architecture firm.

Founded in 1978 by Otto Ranney in Owensboro, Kentucky. Otto Ranney and Terry Blake joined to form Ranney and Blake in 1979. Ranney and Blake merged with Strehl Engineering in 1984, at which time the firm became known as Ranney Blake & Strehl, Architecture and Engineering. In 1995, Mike Ranney joined the partnership and later that same year Ranney Blake and Strehl merged with Ivy/Thomas to become RBS Design Group, PSC. In 2006 our founder Otto Ranney retired.

Today, RBS Design Group, PSC is recognized as a leader in educational design and is a respected architectural planning and design firm headquartered in Owensboro, Kentucky. We are focused on client satisfaction and excellence in providing professional architectural design services in the areas of educational, civic, financial, medical, religious, commercial, industrial, and retail design.
