New Thelma B. Johnson Early Learning Center

Henderson County Schools acquired the architectural design services of RBS Design Group for the new Thelma B. Johnson Early Learning Center. The project included the demolition of the existing 7th Street School building and the construction of a new 46,000 square feet preschool facility.

The Thelma B. Johnson Early Learning Center is one of the premier early learning centers in the state of Kentucky. This facility includes 20 Preschool classrooms, Multi-Purpose rooms, a Motor Skills room, 4 Resource rooms, a state-of-the-art kitchen, and a secured enclosed playground located in the center of the building.

The 6,700 square feet Professional Development Center includes Meeting Rooms, a Family Resource room, staff offices and a conference room.

The new Thelma B. Johnson Early Learning Center can serve up to 400 preschool aged children.
