The Career Discovery Center is the hub for workforce development and job training in Calloway County.  The Center includes, or has included, Employment Services, the Workforce Development Board, Adult Education, etc.  Functions include Unemployment Insurance Delivery, intake, skills assessment, remediation, training, and employee recruitment / job fairs.

The new facility is 6,600 sq. ft. wood framed, single-story building with brick veneer.  The facility is located in the Murray West Industrial Park, which is close to the county industrial base.  The facility has offices, cubical areas, meeting rooms, break rooms, and restrooms.  The building was constructed with reinforced continuous footings, slab-on-grade, wood trusses, and asphalt shingles.  The HVAC system is a split-system with electric cooling, and gas heat with a fresh air energy wheel.  The interior finishes include a gypsum board, suspended acoustical ceilings, carpet, VCT, and ceramic tile.
